Throughout Scarlet’s childhood she loved vibrant and creative clothes and makeup. Unfortunately finding makeup that she loved and could afford was always disappointing. Because she could never find the makeup that she wanted she decided to start researching how to start her own cosmetics line. It was important for Scarlet to sell makeup that was cruelty free, vegan and made in the USA.
For the past few years Scarlet pestered her mother Beth, an acclaimed hair and makeup artist in the fashion industry, about creating an affordable makeup line for music centric people. From this partnership, “Darla” was created.
Starting “Darla Makeup” was no easy task. We wanted 100% cruelty free products, and they also had to be vegan friendly. The” Darla Makeup” Company is dedicated to selling the latest trends and styles in makeup and clothes. Our products are comparable to department store brands, but are a lot less expensive.
Although our main goal is to create a new way to define one’s own personal style, we want people of all shapes and sizes to feel comfortable in their own skin. “Darla Makeup” is more than a product brand, it is a way of life. “Dare to be different, Dare to be Darla”.
Can All of the Darla eyeshadows be used with the Darla Paint Sealer?
Yes, every single one of our eye shadows works great with the paint sealer. It intensifies the color and keeps it on all day. The sealer is water resistant and sweat resistant, GREAT FOR SUMMER!
How Do you Use Paint Sealant?
Our paint sealant is compatible with all Darla eyeshadows (loose and solid). If you want to use it with a loose pigment (Loose Paints or Eyelights) put a couple drops in the eyeshadow cap and mix some of the pigment with it. Apply mixture with a brush to your eye (as a liner or shadow) and voila! your makeup will stay on all day. If you want to mix the sealant with a solid shadow (compacts or paints) put a drop in one corner of the shadow and mix with a brush. Apply mixture to eye. DONT PUT SEALANT ALL OVER THE TOP OF SOLID SHADOWS, IT WILL ADHERE THE SHADOW!
Does Darla Makeup Except returns?
We take extreme care when packing your order and make every effort to ensure that your shipment will be protected while in transit. Unless a product is damaged during shipment we do not except product returns or refunds.
Does Darla Makeup sponsor bands?
Yes, Darla Makeup is currently looking to sponsor bands. If you are interested, please email us at info@darlamakeup.com. In this email please include your bands name, website or myspace link (must have music up), your record label (if you have one) and a phone number where you can be reached. You do not have to have a girl in your band to be sponsored by Darla, we will have a unisex clothing line available too.
Is Darla Makeup Hypoallergenic?
Yes, all of Darla Makeup is allergy sensitive.
How can I get involved with Darla Makeup?
We are currently looking for Darla Makeup street team leaders. These people will be responsible for going to shows in their hometown and handing out fliers and coupons for Darla Makeup (which we will provide.) How Much is Shipping?
Shipping in the United States is $5 for any amount of makeup. $5 covers shipping and handling of your products. For all other countries shipping is extremely reasonable and you will receive it fast!
